Inmate Texting
The Vigo County Jail offers inmate texting. Inmates can request a chirping device via the kiosk in their housing unit. Chirping is a privilege and can be unavailable for periods of time to ensure the safety and security of the Vigo County Jail. All communication is monitored and recorded and any promoting violence, illegal activity or any other activity that may be viewed as disruptive to the operations or safety of the jail may result in chirping activity to be denied.
