Inmate Visitation

All types of inmate visitation is monitored and recorded.  No recording devices, cell phones or cameras are allowed in the visitation area of the jail.  Visitation hours may be restricted by the Jail staff should circumstances warrant such restriction

The Vigo County Jail offers two types of video visitation:

Onsite Video Visits:  In the InmateSales app, click Schedule Video Visitation. You will be directed to a web view of the InmateSales website where you can request access to a facility and your loved one, review facility video visitation policies, view upcoming visits, and schedule a visit.

Inmates eligible to receive visitation are given one free onsite visit each week that needs to be scheduled onsite, in person.

All onsite visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Remote Video Visits: In the InmateSales app, click Remote Video Visitation. You will be redirected to the InmateSales-View app to complete your already scheduled video visitation. If you have not downloaded the app, you will be redirected to the App store to download the app.

All communication is monitored and recorded and any activity during visits deemed to be lewd, pornographic, too reveling, promoting violence, illegal activity or any other activity that may be viewed as disruptive to the operations or safety of the jail may result in the visit being terminated and future visits being denied.

All remote visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
