Inmate Mail

Letters mailed to inmates must contain the inmate's full name and the sender’s full name and address.  If those are not present, the mail will not be processed.  The mail will be checked for contraband, but will not be censored.  If there are any restricted items present, the entire letter will be returned to sender. 

Only mail of normal size will be accepted. The post office will not deliver large or bulky objects.  No types of mail, packages or items will be allowed to be dropped off or accepted at the jail.  The jail will not accept certain items through the mail. Restricted items include but not limited to packages, homemade greeting cards, Polaroid photographs, obscene or pornographic materials, any type of currency, personal checks, envelopes, postage stamps or stamped envelopes, any type of food, and books or periodicals.  Books and periodicals MUST be sent directly from the publisher and NOT from a bookstore.   

All inmate mail is scanned into the inmate kiosks and physical letters are then placed in the inmate’s property.
